Private High School in Tampa, FL

Since high school is the last stop before the "real world," it's imperative to choose the right one. Tampa Bay Christian Academy is perfect for families looking for a private high school in Tampa, FL, who want their children to be college-ready with biblical and Christian worldviews. Our high school is part of our Upper School, where we offer programs for college prep, gifted students, students with learning disabilities, and dual enrollment, which all lead to full diplomas.  We encourage students to learn at their own pace and earn college credits while still in high school, sometimes without leaving campus.  High school students even have the added benefit of events like our senior trip and junior-senior banquet to socialize with their fellow students.

Our school has a small student to teacher ratio and programs to meet every need from ESE to Gifted. Many of our teachers are bilingual, which assists students who speak languages other than English, and we're happy to provide an I20 to students holding an F1 visa. Students from low-income families can apply for scholarships and other financial aid opportunities. Students with IEPs and learning challenges thrive in our Success Program and many are eligible for the McKay or Gardiner Scholarships.

Christian-Based Private Secondary School

At our private secondary school, we believe a relationship with Christ is an essential part of a child's education. We offer this to students using several different methods. All of our students are required to study the Bible as a core subject, and it is integrated into our other classes as well. Community service, daily devotions, overnight retreats, and weekly chapels combine to enhance the academic curriculum and Christian faith. Unlike some other private high schools, we practice the Christian tenet of welcoming as many families as we can from every part of the world no matter their beliefs, religion or financial ability.

TBCA RAMS Student Athletes

TBCA RAMS Student Athletes participate in order to represent Jesus Christ. The sport is used as a medium to openly express Christ like characteristics. Winning is important, but it is secondary to the Godly principles that the program is striving to instill into the student athlete. Participation is a privilege, not a right. To earn this privilege, students must abide by the rules and meet standards of academic performance and personal behavior that are related to TBCA purposes. Coaches look to be positive examples for student athletes and assist student athletes in personal development. Each coach trains players to develop spiritually, academically, and physically. We start athletics with intramurals in our lower school. We are a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association and currently offer the following sports for 6th - 12th grade students and would love to start any new sports you might be interested in.

  • Volleyball
  • Girls Basketball
  • Boys Basketball
  • Flag Football
  • Cheerleading
  • Track and Field

Wide Selection of Private High School Classes

Our school is accredited by the CSF and SACS to cover everything that our public school counterparts do and more. In addition to the core subjects, our private high school classes involve the Bible, the arts, foreign language, and a number of electives. We offer everything students need to gain admission to college, receive scholarships, and explore their interests. These are supplemented by a number of activities and organizations like our various honor societies and after-school clubs.

Our dual enrollment courses are a chance for students and their parents to save money while getting a head start. These courses are held at or by USF and HCC, with some being held online and others at their respective campuses. Students earn college credit while still in high school without having to pay tuition. This means they have smaller course loads in college, leading to less stress and lower costs.
